AlkaSlim Lab Standards: Testing, cGMP and Sourcing
Every AlkaSlim run is blended in an FDA-registered facility operating under cGMP, then sampled and sent to Tanager Analytical Sciences, an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited independent laboratory.
This page describes the process. The verification page carries the result for the lot currently shipping.
What gets tested on every lot
| Test | Method | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | HPLC | Confirms each botanical is the species on the label, not a cheaper lookalike. |
| Potency and purity | HPLC | Current run assayed at 99.2%. |
| Heavy metals | ICP-MS | Lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury, held under 0.4 ppm. |
| Microbiology | Plate count and pathogen screen | Within USP <2021> limits. |
| Pesticide residue | GC-MS | Applied to the botanical inputs before blending. |
| Allergen check | Documentation and swab | Confirms no gluten, dairy, soy or nut cross-contact. |
Where the ingredients come from
Seville orange peel is sourced from Andalusian groves through a Spanish extractor, which is also where the red pepper and the apple vinegar powder come from. Ginger arrives from established growers in the Himalayan foothills, and green tea, berberine and Korean red ginseng are produced by specialist ingredient manufacturers who supply a certificate of analysis with each shipment. The baobab and konjac fiber that defined the older AlkaSlim label are no longer part of the blend.
Every incoming lot is quarantined until its paperwork and our own identity test agree. Anything that fails either check goes back, which happens a few times a year and is the least interesting part of running a supplement company until the day it is not.
What cGMP actually covers
Current Good Manufacturing Practice is the FDA framework governing how a supplement facility must operate: written procedures for every step, trained staff, calibrated equipment, controlled cleaning between runs, and records that let anyone reconstruct what happened to a given batch. It is a process standard, not a product approval. No dietary supplement including AlkaSlim is approved by the FDA before sale.
An FDA-registered facility means exactly that the facility is registered and subject to inspection. We say it plainly because a lot of pages in this category use the phrase to imply something closer to endorsement.
Why we publish a lot number at all
Most brands in this category do not, and there is no requirement to. We publish it because the whole argument for buying AlkaSlim through one portal collapses if you cannot check the bottle against something. A lot number, a certificate reference and a named laboratory are the smallest set of facts that make that argument honest.
